Below you will find links to various external websites which you may currently frequent, or which may have helpful information. I have included many which I use myself, as well as some that clients have suggested I add. If there is a site which you frequently use and would like it added, or if there is a site which you have found that you think others might benefit from please feel free to let me know and I will see about adding it to this page.

Social Security, IRS, Medicare and More

SSA Main Page - This is the home page for the Official Social Security website.

SSA Account Login - This is where you can create or login to your personal Social Security Account. Since the SSA has stopped mailing you an annual statement, you will need to login to the website to view you statement.
 

IRS Main Page - This is the home page for the Internal Revenue Service website.

IRS Withholding Calculator - This is a very useful tool to help determine the number of withholding allowances for your paycheck. If you regularly receive a tax refund, or find yourself writing a check in April, this calculator will be of help. It is never pleasant having to write the check although I would rather be able to use and invest my money instead of giving that advantage to the government.
 

Medicare Main Page - This is the home page for the Medicare Website.
 

AARP - This is the home page for AARP. Membership is available for anyone over 50 years old, and provides allot of useful information as well as discounts for many goods and services. The site has quite a few pop up ads, so be forewarned.

USA.gov for Seniors - Here you will find government resources for seniors on money, housing, health, consumer protection, and more.

NCOA - The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is the nation's leading nonprofit service and advocacy organization representing older adults.

 

College Planning

Career Search - This site is a very interesting site with allot of information about many, many career fields, their future outlook, skills and education requirements, and income information. This type of information is great to have to help your children take a realistic approach to their college and future career

Federal Student Aid - This is the home page for Federal Student Aid. Here you will find allot of resources for for the entire college preparation experience. There is not only information about how to pay for college, but also information about choosing and applying to school, and career information.

FAFSA - This is the home page for the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This site will be useful as your children approach, and throughout their college years.

 

The Public School Employees' Retirement System - PSERS

PSERS Main Page - This is the home page of the PSERS website.

Interaction Login - This is the login page to "Interaction", where you can view your personal account information, reprint statements, run retirement estimates, and reprint tax forms.

Active Member Handbook - On this page you can download or print the Active Member Handbook, which has a tremendous amount of information about your pension, including the different choices which need to be made shortly after you are hired, your benefits and details regarding retirement options.

PSEA - This is the home page for the Pennsylvania State Education Association. PSEA is the primary association for education professionals in Pennsylvania.

 

The State Employees' Retirement System - SERS

SERS Main Page - This is the home page of the SERS website.

Account Login - This is the page to login to the SERS Online Member Services, where you can view a summary of your account, download or print annual statements, calculate retirement estimates, and print forms.

Active Member Handbook - On this page you can download or print the Active Member Handbook, which provides you with an overview of the pension plan, including topics such as how benefits are calculated, tax issues, retirement planning and the various retirement options available.

AFSCME - This is the home page for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. AFSCME is the nation's largest and fastest growing public services employees union.
